TDS Class Trip to Churchville Nature Center

Max took a class trip to Churchville Nature Center to learn about the Lenape Indians through an Indian village. It was a little cold out, but he had a great time and seemed to have learned a lot.


Chopping burned wood to demonstrate how Native Americans cleared large patches of forest.


Using a rake made out of a tree branch and deer antler.


Smashing corn using a mortar and pestle.


A corn cake. It was made using the ground corn and water.


Listening to a tale of how the bear lost his long tail.
