Buttermilk Fried Chicken

I had a good amount of buttermilk left over from another recipe, so to use it up I made buttermilk fried chicken. I soaked the chicken in buttermilk, sliced onion, fresh parsley, dried tarragon and thyme, paprika, and cayenne pepper for 8 hours (the longer, the better, up to 2 days). After 8 hours, I drained the chicken and tossed it in flour, salt and pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and onion salt. I then fried the chicken in canola oil over medium heat for 12 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with salt when finished. IMG_3117 IMG_3119
